Video evaluation and your tests, from home
Ask your eye doctor for the tests on our list (topography and pachymetry for LASIK; endothelial count and lens calculation for cataract or lens exchange) and send them over. Dr. Serrano reviews them by video and, for lens surgery, orders your implant before you fly. You only travel once there's a plan, dates and a written quote.
Fly to Los Cabos
Direct flights from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix into Los Cabos airport, 15 minutes from the clinic. We send a door-to-door itinerary on WhatsApp: airport transfer, a recommended hotel in San José del Cabo, the corridor or Cabo San Lucas, and what to bring.

What everyone asks before deciding
How many days do I need in Cabo?
For LASIK, usually three or four nights. For lens exchange or cataract surgery, three or four nights per eye if you send the lens calculation from home, or about a week if the measurements are done here, because the implant takes about three working days to arrive. Dr. Serrano confirms it at the video evaluation, before you book anything.
Can I fly the day after surgery?
Only with Dr. Serrano's written clearance after the in-person check. The itinerary is built around that check, not the other way round.
Who checks me once I'm home?
We coordinate the week-one and month-one checks with an optometrist in your city, with Dr. Serrano available by video. You leave Cabo with that appointment already booked.
What if I arrive and I'm not a candidate?
The video evaluation and the prior exam exist to prevent that. If Dr. Serrano nonetheless decides not to operate at the in-person check, your deposit is refunded.
Do I need a passport?
Yes: a valid passport to enter Mexico and return to the U.S. We include the reminder in the WhatsApp itinerary.
