SMILE

This is the newest procedure to correct myopia and/or astigmatism, (for hyperopia it is still in the evaluation phases). The whole procedure is done with laser there is no need for the cutting knife as in Lasik, and it’s only a 3mm incision that is done with the laser.

LASIK

This is a refractive procedure that is done on the cornea, to modify it’s form and thickness with laser so it will improve your vision. Thanks to it’s reproductability and security it’s the procedure more used to correct vision problems. It can correct myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia quickly and efectivly.

PHACOEMUSIFICATION

This procedure is done to remove cataracts we are now using laser to assist in this procedure so it can be performed more safely. The cataract is aspirated thru a small incision and an intraocular lens is implanted to replace the one we removed.

Surgery procedure is not available at Baja California Sur, that’s because there is not enough people to keep the necessary equipment, so we need to travel to another City. Antonio Serrano is going to be with you all the time, and secondary visits can be at Los Cabos.

EYE GLASSES

BIFOCAL GLASSES

A bifocal lens is created with two different areas of vision correction, whichare divided by a distinct line that sits horizontally across the lens. The top portion of the lens is used for distance, while the bottom portion of the lens is used for closer vision.

Usually it’s for people older than 40 years.

MONOFOCAL GLASSES

Most patients choosing a monofocal lens want to have good distance vision, allowing to perform activities such as driving and watching TV. They usually need to use glasses to help with near vision tasks, such as reading, cooking and working on the computer.

It’s for people who can’t see near or far.

PROGRESSIVE GLASSES

Progressive lenses are no-line multifocal eyeglass lenses that look exactly the same as single vision lenses and will help you see clearly at all distances without those annoying "bifocal lines" that are visible

Usually it’s for people older than 40 years.

CONTACT GLASSES

MONOFOCAL Spherical contact lenses have the same lens power throughout the entire optical part of the lens to correct myopia (nearsightedness) or hyperopia (farsightedness).

PROGRESIVE Multifocal contact lenses (including bifocal contacts) contain different power zones for near and far vision to correct presbyopia as well as nearsightedness or farsightedness. Some multifocal lenses also can correct astigmatism. [Read more about bifocal contacts.]
